About This Spot

Stepping into Phở House Restaurant in Goodyear feels like finding a quiet little haven tucked into the bustling rhythms of everyday life. The space is modest and unpretentious, reflecting the comfort and familiarity of a neighborhood spot where locals gather for a satisfying, steady meal. There’s an inviting warmth in the air, a blend of fragrant broth and fresh herbs mingling with friendly chatter, creating a mood that is both soothing and refreshingly genuine.

The pace here is unhurried but attentive, with a staff whose care gently hums beneath the surface, ready to guide you through their offerings. It’s the kind of place where the breakfast rush of savory noodles and aromatic soups flows steadily into afternoon cravings for something light and refreshing. The atmosphere feels intimate, even when the space grows busy—it’s clear this is a spot cherished for its comfort as much as its flavor.

Dishes arrive thoughtfully plated, each bowl or plate inviting you into Vietnam’s rich culinary traditions without fuss. Imagine settling into a steaming bowl of phở, its broth clear yet soulfully nuanced, paired with fresh herbs and that subtle interplay of lime and chiles. Or the pleasure of crispy egg rolls and gently grilled meats mingling with crisp vegetables and the faintly sweet bite of mango-infused tea. These are moments meant to be savored quietly, each bite a small rediscovery of familiar yet layered tastes.

Phở House has the feel of a place where families come to find a little ease on a cooler day, where a single diner may linger over a bowl that warms more than the body, and friends might share glasses of iced coffee between stories. It strikes a balance between homely and purposeful—a genuine offering rather than a spectacle, where food feels like a thoughtful companion to your day.

While the space may feel a touch snug, it’s charming in its honest simplicity, a reminder that good food and approachable warmth need no grand stage. This restaurant invites you to slow down, listen to the natural rhythm of the kitchen, and enjoy a quietly satisfying meal that feels like a small, personal discovery each time.

My 5yo daughter had a cough so i brought her for lunch. She got the chicken pho and i got beef pho, both with egg noodles instead for fun. The broth they told us was beef broth and tart is the same broth for every pho (shrimp, chicken, beef, etc). It was very yellow and not seasoned a whole lot. It really just tasted like a yummy chicken soup. So it was perfect for my girl, she loved it, and the egg noodles were so addictive! It didn't taste like good authentic beef pho to me, like it didn't have any anise flavor, more like a neutral egg drop soup flavor, so this will now be our place for sick comfort soup. Also i love the wait staff and the restaurant is big and open and I think we've been here in the past like years ago and there was never a wait. Food comes out QUICK too. Very family friendly.

The Pho here is great! I had the steak and brisket along with the crispy egg rolls. Both were amazing. The portion sizes are large, more than enough for one person. If you're in the Phoenix/Avondale area, I would highly recommend this place for very good Pho.

There's nothing better than a hot bowl of Pho on a cold day. For those that don't know, it's a bowl of noodles in a beef broth usually made with oxtail. You have a variety of meat options to add and it is served with Bean sprouts, basil leaves and a wedge of lime or lemon. So delicious. All the food is good here but some items are a tad pricey IMO, drinks being one of them. As far as service goes they're good at seating you and taking your order. But after you get your food, if you need something else, it can be a challenge tracking them down if the place is even half full. I would recommend that if you're in a rush, avoid the peak times. I do recommend trying this place as it is worth the wait.

I had the Pork Fried Rice with Mango Green Tea. It was phenomenal!! The rice was nice and moist, the pork was tender and flavorful, and the veggies were fresh and crisp. Now when it comes to the Mango Green Tea, thee most refreshing drink I've had in a long while. So much so, I had to get a second one after finishing off the first. Highly recommend this place, the staff is very friendly, the place is clean, most definitely a good choice for me!

The food came out fairly fast and hot. I was impressed by the attentiveness they had for each customer while being busy. I will say that the building is a bit compact for the layout they have...With this the drinks are also extremely small for the price. Also, it was not clean like I was expecting for a small restaurant, there was trash everywhere and the sauce & seasoning bottles were extremely dirty.... Other than that, the food was Amazing, my daughter loved her chicken banh mi, my husband loved his chicken wings and pho, and I enjoyed my pho as well as number 22 (I can't remember the name lol) I would definitely come back the next time I am that way again!
